Dog friendly carriages on the metrolink Manchester

Why is Manchester metrolink behind the times in allowing to travel with your pet,were all trying to encourage public transport to reduce the pollution,imagine being disabled maybe wheelchair bound and having to travel further to get a bus or pay more to get a taxi,this should really be addressed in this day and age,come on Manchester city council,get with the times,please share everyone to help me change this.All it would take is a separate dog friendly carriage,s etc
